Pakovački cheese is a hard cheese made from cow's and sheep's milk. The milk comes from cows and sheep from the Šibenik region, which is where the name of the product comes from. The Karst-Pakovački pastures, rich in various aromatic herbs that the animals eat daily on the pastures, are responsible for the rich flavour.
The flavour reaches perfection after maturing for at least three months. It has a mild, spicy flavour and is wonderfully creamy.
