Prominski cheese is a hard cheese made from high-quality cow's milk. The milk comes from cows in the Promina region, which is where the name of the product comes from. The Karst Prominski pastures, which are rich in various aromatic herbs that the animals eat daily on the pastures, are responsible for the rich flavour.
The flavour reaches perfection after maturing for at least three months. It has a spicy flavour and is wonderfully creamy.
