Mišine cheese (cheese from the skin) is considered to be one of the first cheeses produced in the Dalmatian hinterland during the Illyrian period. It is a cheese made from sheep's and cow's milk and fermented in a specially prepared sheepskin. The cheese is matured in the sheepskin for approx. 45 days and then packaged.
It tastes great, creamy, has fine flavours without unpleasant odours and has a spiciness that goes perfectly with red wine.
